Hey guys. Looking for some advice on an upcoming project. I have a 750xxl plumbed to my basement. Tank is two years old and I’d like to add a frag tank as some of my sps need pruning. I have an abyzz A200 as my return pump. The way I see it I have two options, either run a separate return pump to the frag tank to drain back into the sump versus having the two 1 inch drain lines I have from the main display drain into the frag tank first then have a drain from the frag tank to the sump. The second option is intriguing but not sure if it will work. Anyone done this? Frag tank is a 40 breeder.

Avoid option 2. Not that it wont work. You might not want the same amount of flow from your drains, in the frag tank. Plus if you take the frag tank off line, then you will have to redo the drains again.
