Hi All, I am trying to set up a 45 litre frag tank.
I cycled with ATM Colony 4oz and have a bi-colour blenny in with 2 Trochus snails. I also have 1 kg of dry rock and a small frag rack. It has cycled now for 7 days.
Connected is a Tunze Nanostream 6025 for internal flow
Bubble-Magna QQ2 Internal Nano Skimmer
Eheim Pro4+ external filter
Lighting is with a IREENOU LED aquarium light 52cm 15 watt

Parameters are
Alkalinity 9 (12)
Salinity 33 (35)
Calcium 450 (465)
Nitrate 5 (2)
PH 8.2 (8.2)
Phosphate 0+ (0.1)
Temp 77.1
Magnesium 1400 (1390)

I have tried to base these on recommendations from the Red Sea website for a 45 litre Frag Tank above in brackets are what they suggest.

My question is would it be ready to accept frags ? , my concern would be the lighting but i dont know really, it does cycle through a 24 hour program.

Thanks Paul

The numbers look ok .
A stable tank is a happy tank
I do not know any thing about that light other than it claims to be 15 watt.
Hopefully you can set it so you have all the colors on at once at different intensities.

The parameters look fine to me. 7 days in the tank may be cycled, but is not mature so definetely expect some "ugly" periods. Does not k
Mean you cant add frags though.

I would also add that if it were me i would not target their 12 dkh. Especially in a small tank just dosing a touch too much can get you too high. Also your nutrients for now are pretty low....and low nutrients and high dkh can be bad. Not that it wont work i just think less room for error when running at 12.

That light sounds pretty weak at 15 watts but i honestly know zero about it maybe it is fine for small tank like that

Thank for the responses. My main tank use a Reef Light 50, so really should i get one of those ? feeling being if it is set the same then when i import frags to the tank it would be one hopefully less thing to worry about.
