Fragging nepthea coral

I have this neon green nepthea. It is getting a bit large. I would like to divide it in half. Can I fragging it along the perceived seam here with a sharp knife or razor blade? Rock cannot be moved.

If you cut it there you might loose the whole thing. They are very sensitive. If you Cut a little at a time and allow it to heal each time it's better success. One inch at atime
