Does anyone have a good method to get freeze dried food not to float and go into the overflow? I have soaked brine and krill for hours with no luck. I've used Selcon as well. Any tips would be appreciate.

I used Mysis so it might be a little different. I would take some of the tank water and splash it into a small 1oz container that contained the food. Give it a good swirl and suck it up with a turkey baster and blast it into the tank. This would cause the food to sink to the bottom of my tank vs going into the overflow. Not to mention I would make sure I would turn off my return pump and skimmer for my tank. (Red Sea AIO)

Thx. I'll try it. I do turn off my return pump during feeding. :)

I've had similar problems with certain brands of freeze dried foods (mysis, calanus) NEVER hydrating. We're talking hours of soaking and swirling and mixing.

Best that has worked so far is an Avast plank. I don't think it succeeds in hydrating the food necessarily, but it shoots it down into the water where the fish grab it quickly. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
