Yep! It's 2" max- he's a little one. I'm planning on feeding 2/3 ghosties every 3 days. Never had an angler this smallI've seen this coloration in a juvi Antennarius maculatus(warty), he is a little guy right. Pretty sure it is an antennarius, I would take a chance it is a warty.
Was sold to me as a painted lol. I believe my previous angler was actually an A. Maculatus- it was extremely shy and rarely ventured out from the back of tank. Hope this one has more personality.I've seen this coloration in a juvi Antennarius maculatus(warty), he is a little guy right. Pretty sure it is an antennarius, I would take a chance it is a warty.

I think your original guess was correct. Here’s a pic of the tail. Eye spots missing. He could be an A. pictus, at that size is can be difficult identifying between the A, maculatus, A. pictus and A. commersons. I have specifically seen this coloration ending up being a warty, and being misidentified as a painted. When he fans his tail out, if you see 3 eyespots, it's a painted. May not be visible until he is a little larger.
