I thought I would share with you guys how cool this is! My frogspawns tentacles where never this swollen but he is happy with the phytoplex that I have been giving the tank! Keep in mind in this picture he is 4.5" in diameter and sorry for quality I had to dull it down so you can actually see through the actinic lighting!

Cheers,

Elio

Mine stays pretty consistently inflated as well. One of my favorite corals. Incredible how much bigger they are when they are happy :)

I know this is a old thread but my frogspawn is puffing up so does that mean it's a good thing? I am a noob and this is my very first coral so that's why I'm asking

I would say yes. It also depends on flow. But if it is inflated that is an overall good sign as an unhealthy or upset FS would be deflated

Yea he looks good. Just make sure he's getting gentle flow. Enough to make the tentacles sway back and forth but not so much that he's being pushed one direction all the time

Guys, I’m experiencing this too, but it’s really pronounced - barely can tell it’s a frogspawn. It’s been like this for months, though, and my tank (SPS, LPS, softies) have all be growing like crazy and looking good. Ideas? I guess it’s OK if it’s “happy” but I think it kind of looks blah.

It’s the one behind the wall hammer (which died - dropped, long story).
