Frogspawn Stalk Damage. Opportunistic Nuisance or Baby Buds?

I received this frogspawn from an auction purchase. It arrived with significant damage on the stalk, which I thought may have been caused by a jam from its protective cup which it became separated from during shipping, but the seller said it was from pest removal before it shipped. Over the past week the stalk has started to discolor and seems to be shredding away, exposing the skeleton. It also has numerous odd things protruding out from the skeleton. (or what appears to be from the skeleton). AI has suggested hydroids, a couple different types of worms, and baby frogspawn buds. I've been keeping it in extremely low flow because I'm afraid any decent flow will rip what's still attached right off the skeleton. But I'm also concerned about anything settling in on sensitive areas due to such low flow. I could use some 'real people' input if anything comes to mind after you see the photos and/or videos. (Sorry my phone auto-focus is terrible!) Thanks in advance!

they really did a number on that. Im not sure what all those are, they do look like they might be new head buds. Either that or pineapple sponges (i tease, there, but the shape is identical looking).
The heads so far look relatively healthy at least, so you can probably keep it alive until the flesh bands can recover. I think you have a good take on it, dont kill it with flow but make sure it doesnt stagnate. Maybe an iodine dip to help it with bacterial stuff if needed is all i can think of too.

Ok, thanks for your input! Ya, an iodine dip might be called for. I haven't dipped or removed the old frag mount. Kind of afraid to do anything to it.

I’d be concerned about this more than anything. The fleshband is damaged and missing, it is an open wound allowing bacteria to get in and this easily can turn into bjd.
