Gorgeous !!! Love the LTAs do you feed them?I saw someone say LTA spam!!!!!
Nope. They catch food and the clowns feed t hem a bit from time to time. I am one who rarely direct feeds nems. Even with as many as I have, I do not feed them much. Not a need. Just keep some no3 and po4 present and the zoox in them does enough. My mertens are the only exceptions. I am trying to cultivate them and feeding heavy amounts has lead to healthy splits over the years.Gorgeous !!! Love the LTAs do you feed them?
I think it acts as a carbon source during its break down but it looks to be a vitamin/aminos supplement. probably derived from a type of algae like seachem’s fuel.Is the Carb-X just a carbon source?
Ye I am addicted to feeding mine lol it definitelyNope. They catch food and the clowns feed t hem a bit from time to time. I am one who rarely direct feeds nems. Yeaaa I think I like majanos nowThought the verrucae on these majanos looked pretty cool
Your tangs rely on the nutrition of the nori so I wouldn't cut that out completely. If you need to cut it back, soak it in selcon first to get them as much good stuff in each bite. Do you actively or passively run gfo? Are you running filter socks?Yes I cleaned the glass after lol , tested
Alk 10 dkh
Phosphate .5ppm!! ( put in GFO and lanthium chloride will test again tonight )
Nitrate 0ppm… so hard to get nitrate up apparently I think I need to stop nori / pellets for a bit and only feed mysis?
Calcium 430ppm
Ph 8.0 -
I am not sure if testing after cleaning the glass affected PH/ phosphate it’s possible though
I Do not know why I stopped getting updates on this. So glad the cbb is eating pellets!!! A nice food to fatten them up. They burn a ton of calories.Aye I’m psyched ! Saw CBB eating the new life spectrum pellets off sandbed , finally found his food !
Your right they do love the nori , probly be cruel to stop it. I don’t run filter socks but it’s a carbon filter pad and I added GFO inside (the carbon things you would put into a HOB filter) I have it getting hit by drain pipe from DT to sump and I run two more passively in sumpYour tangs rely on the nutrition of the nori so I wouldn't cut that out completely. Yes! He/she loves them , doesn’t eat them when they floating but once they hit the sandbed it’s fair game , especially if they are swaying in flowI Do not know why I stopped getting updates on this. So glad the cbb is eating pellets!!! A nice food to fatten them up. They burn a ton of calories.
Still eating the pellets?
So happy for you!~ Pellets are not a bad food, they are just condensed nutrition. So, normal fish (like clowns) get fat quick. Perfect for your cbb.Yes! He/she loves them , doesn’t eat them when they floating but once they hit the sandbed it’s fair game , especially if they are swaying in flow
I was so happy when I saw it lol probly learned from the tangs as they eat off the sandbed to , blue tang will flap its fins to stir up the pellets and eat themSo happy for you!~ Pellets are not a bad food, they are just condensed nutrition. That's exciting news for me. Good job keeping her a food source until she picked a prepared food. They are a fish worth the battle.I was so happy when I saw it lol probly learned from the tangs as they eat off the sandbed to , blue tang will flap its fins to stir up the pellets and eat them
its is exciting! I was also excited yr eel ate day one , that is a great sign for a healthy long lived eel! Hopefully you can get to frozen silversides so you don’t always have to feed live. When I had my snowflake I fed silversides with bamboo skewers so I could mimic it “swimming” lolThat's exciting news for me. Good job keeping her a food source until she picked a prepared food. I really didnt think of that... I'll pick some up later and give that a try.T
