At night he sleeps near the surface in one of the corners. I just need to put the cage in early and wait for lights out. Then I can hopefully net him and put him in the cage ;)

The only problem I forsee is that the corner the trap goes in, is the same corner the Canary sleeps in. So I have to get it in place before he gets there ;)

Hey @Fudsey, I couldn’t remember if you started a sulfur denitrator on your tank a year or so ago? And if so, are you still running it?

I never hooked it up to the waterbox as it was never needed until maybe now. But I need new sulfur media for it and have been procrastinating getting it ;)

Here's to catching the Filefish!

Cage is in the tank and maybe tonight I will get him :)

Did exactly what I hoped. Was sleeping head down in a corner next to the overflow about 8" down. Took the cover off and he didn't move, so I grabbed my net and nabbed him against the overflow. Put him right into the cage and he's now back sleeping. I'm sure tomorrow he'll be a little POd but oh well ;)
