Light update...

I removed the GHA

This is the cheato growth under the growstar light.
This is 5 days of growth. I will post day 1 pic with day 5 pic for comparison.

Update...

I'm happy with the Growstar light. I am getting GOOD growth from my algae.
I'm trying to figure out a better way to mount it. Right now I have it sitting on a piece of glass along with the Fluval Sea Nano Marine LED.
Honestly, if I thought the Fluval would do the trick, I would remove the Growstar because I can mount the Fluval cleanly with it's bracket.

Might be having a problem.
I'm growing cheato but I'm getting this thick film on the surface of the water and a lot of air bubbles on the algae.

I might have to stop using the Growstar ufo light.

I had to switch my sump back to a traditional configuration. I think the Growstar is going to be too much light for the size of the fuge. I put it over the fuge, turned it on and almost went blind. The fuge has white walls and the power of the light plus the reflection of the light is really very bright.

I have the Fluval Sea marine and reef nano led light over the fuge right now.

Is this enough light to get good growth?

If not, would the Growstar work or would it be too much.

I spent 10 bucks on a day light led from Lowe’s .. my cheato doubles in size in two weeks time . I’m running triton now. Was not before I put the fuge on line.
