I have a 425xl and planning to start a refugium. The place for refugium will be just after filter socks and before the skimmer. After the skimmer the water flows to the return chamber via sponge. My question: How will the pods enter the tank if there is a sponge on the way?

I run course sponge blocks pre pump also. I always use the courses I can find. I feel adult pods can crawl through, but surviving the vanes of the pumps impeller may be a sad story, lol! Still larval stage pods and other small planktons can go through. And then hide in your display and populate there too .
