Fugs,
How close to you live to Melbourne and do you have any local reef shops that you would recommend in the Melbourne area?

Hey Freddie,
I'm up in QLD which is quite a ways from Melbourne.

I would recommend Williamstown Aquarium, Deer Park Aquarium and Reeflections Aquarium if you're using the CBD as a jumping point.
All great stores.

To tag on to that then where up here in Brisbane/SEQ area do you recommend?
Brisbane/SEQ would be the following:

Gallery Aquatica (Wynnum)
Reef Secrets (Gold Coast)
Atlas Aquariums (Wavell Heights)
100% Reef Safe (Kippa Ring)

and in that order because I work for Gallery and I'm biased lol.

So I forgot to post this a while back but definitely enjoying the capabilities of the new Apex system.
I've also changed my trace elements, aminos and vitamins to a local Australian company recently called "Coral Essentials" by "Sustainable Reefs".
They have supplied several corals in my tank that are just outstanding specimens so I thought their shelf products would follow suit... let me tell you, I am certainly not disappointed.
This stuff has seen an explosion of growth and colour in my tank. I still use a few of the Aquaforest products like my macro elements (Ca, Mg & KH) Zeomix and AF foods but I think I'll be sticking with this new trace program from CE.

Gallery website looks good other then the store not working. Have to try and drive that way one day once i get my tank up and running.

Hey Freddie!
Reef is doing well. Still growing! Lost my big green Dallas acro colony due to a slow disease they're known for. It was slowly wasting away so I pulled it out.
Good news is, I have more room now!
Coral Essentials is amazing. They've actually just released a new product that has incredible results but a little on the pricey side for me to justify atm. Mainly because I am happy enough with my colour/growth.
I have to do a water change later today so I will try and get a FTS then. You will be able to see how much more everything has grown :)
