this should be fun.
Just bought and started cycling this Red Sea reefer 350 2 weeks ago. So excited! Got the Tonga Branch rock in a little backwards after sand and water added but its ok. Took me a while to decide which rock I wanted to use expecially because of how much I wanted to invest in rock. Added Dr Tims One and Only, got my Caribsea black sand, Xport bio brick, L2 vectra pump calibrated to my liking and what the plumbing can handle, I set up my fuge and added copepods and am daily phantom feeding. Slowly acclimating refugium lighting with a pixie 30 for now 1-3 hrs a day until I can eventually do longer light. Id hate to kill my chaeto. Fed the pods with plankton and have the tank blacked out for now with black garbage bags. Im still trying to figure out this built in ATO that im not a fan of. Im constantly having to adjust it to get the proper rodi water fed back into the system to keep my salinity at bay. Got my reefer 300 skimmer ready but not on yet and my Nyos torq large dual reactor is so sweet I cant wait to start using it later on. Traded the brs dual reactor because of space issues. had no choice but to run the fuge in the first chamber because of space issues with the huge skimmer that I cant return because its been wet. Got a cobalt heater in also. A couple more weeks and I will remove the black out and add my fish without lights for another month. Any suggestions? This is my 3rd tank. I went from a 5 gallon, to a 20 gal nuvo panorama, to this. Learning quite a bit along the way.
