Google shows a wide variety of colors on these fish. Are there variants, do they change colors or are they just different fish that are misidentified?

Along those lines, are fusilier attractive? Hard to tell from the dd pics. Thanks

I think they have a duller green but chromis like flash. i would say they are a unique and attractive replacement schooling and active fish

just buy them.

They are an excellent choice. Hardy, active, outgoing, peaceful. They are predominantly purplish-olive with greenish iridescence.

I’ve seen the from time to time, always the yellow back and tail variant, but always stayed clear of them because I thought because they are closely related to snappers they would grow to that size. I now see they only max out at 5-6”....

Fusiliers and fusilier damsels are 2 different fish. Both are great fish, but they have different colors and fusiliers damsels stay smaller.

Midwest aquarium in fargo would be able to order you these at a good price. The owner is just great. I try to swing in once or twice a year as I can.

You guys are incredibly lucky, I sourced some about 10 years ago, stunning fish, I then had a heart attack and lost them when the tank crashed. I have been trying to source them for more for the last 7 years. They are just not imported into the UK- I have tried ordering them from various outlets and from the main UK imported with no luck.
I had 10 as a shoal (and they did shoal) here's a picture of one of them
