After being away from saltwater for 10 years, I'm back with a Fusion Lagoon 25.

I really want this to be a Zoanthid frag tank.
I will add some egg create in the middle and the live rock around the edges.

The photo is from Day one, can you tell from the photo if the rock looks cycles?
I pulled these from a large bin at the LFS.

Can you post any advice for me to head in the right direction?

Lights: Lightimetunnel LED Aquarium Light, 165 Watt Dimmable Fish Tank Light Full Spectrum
Skimmer: Aquamaxx HOB-1.5
Live Rock: 10 lbs
150w Heater

Thank you

The light was turned up to 10 for the photo.
Hmm, I only have a LUX meter, maybe I should get a PAR meter.
Really looking at getting a Seneye system.

Thanks
Our local club has a par meter, which we borrow when needed. If you know the model and if someone has done the measurement , that can be a starting point

Just got a 150Watt Cobalt Heater today.
The OLD one is the photo was holding strong at 78', BUT is is also Ten years old.
Not sure what the life span is on heaters, but it's time replace, especially since I do
not have a controller yet.

10 years on a heater is great! Smart to switch. You were probably playing Russian Roulette after that long with the old one.

I'm getting a IM 25 Lagoon and wanted to know if you could share some pictures of the Aquamax 1.5 skimmer in the sump area. I love this skimmer, I'm just afraid it will look weird on this tank.

I definitely will post photos, as soon as I get the broken part in from AquaMaxx.
Should fit in the back area, Back, I do have my heater and auto top off back there also.

Hmmmm, Hope it all fits!

Would there be enough room to mount the arm for a Hydra 26 in the middle, right next to the skimmer?

I just got my 25 Lagoon yesterday but I won't be setting it up for another couple of months. Your set up is looking real nice! Keep us updated on how the skimmer is working.

I am not sure, the skimmer is as far to the side as it can go and you can see in the photo it goes to the middle, I am hanging my lights.
I've used zip ties for hanging my lights for 20 years, never had any problems.

Not by hanging in the back and after it's broken in, I am still using this skimmer in this tank also.

Steve
Thanks so much for the reply. It helped a lot. Already changed out two skimmers. They all have Micro bubble issue.
