I just purchased a FDLF for my tank and I am in love!!! He's so cute and feisty. Plus he is a eater. LOL the guy at the LFS did not lie this dude will hit anything you put in the tank. So far he had a rosy red (which I later found out can give them fatty liver), a chunk of frozen brine shrimp (about 1/8th cube), and a 1/2" section of thawed shrimp. I know I know I fed him too much the first two days. Call it beginners joy at watching something eat that way. So in an effort to do better I'd like some advice.

I have seen some people say to feed them every few days but others mention not letting them get hungry or they can eat other fish? Would it be ok to feed him 1/4 to 1/8th of a cube of frozen brine shrimp daily and then 3 times a week give him a 1/2" section of thawed shrimp?

75G reef tank
FDLF is about 5"
Blue Hippo Tang is about 2.5" and mean
Green Chromis is about 1.5"-2" and frienemies with the BHT
Hawkfish is about 4" and feisty (I'm in love with him too)

Small six line wrasse has been removed until he can get bigger. Dang thing jumped out of his refugium trying to get eaten. I got him and put him in the QT until he's at least 2" long.

I always just fed the tank normally and my fuzzy would eat food when she was hungry. I threw in chunks of LRS chunky, squid, and some silversides for her every 3-4 days when she got to be that same size.
