Fx4 - mixed reef tank

Anyone else out there using the fx4 ?

Want to compare my setup I’m running with what others are running. What do you run in yours? How do you have your layers setup?

I left all filters around rims. And have bio ball media in two trays. Then top tray I run Chemipure blue and that stock black filter pad over it.

Also running a hob refuge with more bio ball media and Chaeto. Hob reef octo classic 100. Hob algae scrubber.

My tank is a 60 gallon breeder.

I brother runs one on his 75gal and does the same thing except he's using volcanic rock for bio media, bag of carbon and a layer of polyfil. His tanks been up for 6 years now and hasn't had any issues with it

And he runs his carbon and poly filter in the top tray?

I run a FX6 with polish pad on top, live rock in the middle and activated carbon in the last tray.
