I have the g4 xr30 (non pro) and was wondering if anyone knows if you can just swap out the clusters and put g4 pro clusters in it, and it should work? I tried putting in pro clusters but the lights won't turn on so i'm wondering if the main driver board is different on the non pro to pro g4's? Either that or I have faulty pro clusters.

Pro clusters should just work with the main board.

My pro clusters must be faulty then as I get a green light on the top instead of the blue. I had a faulty 3 pin U1 chip on one of the clusters so I unsoldered one off an xr15 pro cluster. Couple questions, I checked the diodes with a multimeter and one of the led is barely lighting as though it may be burnt so does a burnt led prevent the whole cluster from working? Also am I able to remove the led diodes off the pro cluster that are not on the non pro cluster and solder it to the empty led diode spots on the non pro or will the app not recognize that I added violet led's being as the app see the device as g4 non pro. Thanks

A shorted LED may cause the entire light to not work. However, the button indicator typically flashes red in that case.
The light won't just magically turn into a pro if you just swap clusters. But it will still power extra LEDs as if it were a pro version.

I'm trying to remove the led's with a hot air station but it won't budge at all. I tried heating the underside where the led is to my stations max 400 celcius (752 farenheit) but the solder is not melting at all under the led diode.
