Hello All,

Looking for some help here. Our house (mid 80's construction, stucco exterior) needs a new gable vent. We got the closet match we could find but the hole in the house still needs to be made larger. In this case it is only by about 1/4" on the bottom of the hole.

What would be the best way to do this? I saw a youtube vid with people using a circular saw with diamond-tipped blade. I was wondering if i could just grind down with an angle grinder the 1/4"?

Also, does anyone have any tips for drilling or nailing into stucco faced plywood?

Angie grinder will work for the stucco and metal mesh underneath. As for drilling, masonry drill bit.
