Are those wild plants in the volcano pic? They appear to be planted in rows...

I finished reading the 11 pages of your documented trip. Such a wonderful experience and thank you for sharing it. it is very cool that your son accompanied you!

Considering you left off on May 22nd, I anticipate more of the story to come.

We started to make our way back to the beach ready for the short trip in the inflatables to the Catchalotte Explorer. It was still early morning at Santiago Island Puerto Egas Galapagos 22nd May 2019.

We were heading back out to the high seas......

Just before midday on 22nd May 2019 we were back on board the Catchalotte Explorer, leaving the small cove of Santiago Island Puerto Egas Galapagos and heading back out to sea.

We were sailing towards Bartolome Island.

We were joined by a group of Frigate birds who followed the boat all the way

Well, I had thought you were posting updates each Sunday. Obviously, I was wrong again. It would appear you are following no rhyme or reason. Kind of how the cables/wires are managed for your big tank. <badda bing> I had high hopes for you and this thread. Such a disappointment. :p;):p

We arrived at Bartolome Island Galapagos early afternoon on 22nd May 2019.

We anchored in the bay just offshore along with a few other boats

That's it? You make us wait over two weeks and provide an update with eight pictures and only two sentences? Sheesh... I mean, if you were really inebriated that day, just say, "Hey guys, I don't really recall much from May 22nd but, apparently, I took some pretty nice pictures." Or make up some fantastical story! ;)

I have enjoyed your trip!!! My husband has wanted to go there forever. I do also. Only issue is neither of us can handle boats. So, not really an option. We love to snorkel and dive (from land), but boats are not our friends. Wish we could though. Looks amazing. My oldest son would be there in a heartbeat with us.

You can be land based but you just won’t see as much of the islands, but if you ever get chance just go, you won’t regret it.

I still can’t believe we were actually there

Beautiful as always sir. Thanks for sharing. The basalt formations on the coastlines are breathtaking.

Nice snaps of the frigates too. The pirates of the sky. Nasty buggers. They chase down other birds and make them vomit their food and snatch it mid flight. Wild.

Early afternoon on 22nd May 2019 the boat anchored just off shore at Bartolome Island Galapagos

We boarded the inflatables and headed toward our landing spot, shown in the first picture below, to begin the start of our adventure walking around this beautiful island

We started our climb up the wooden path from the landing area were the inflatables had left us a few minutes earlier

The sea here is such an incredible colour

Oh my, two updates in as many days! Not sure what's going on but I hope you're feeling well. :p

Beautiful landscape and pics, to be sure. I believe we have all come to expect wonderful updates and you have lived up to the expectation. Thanks for sharing your journey.
