I am currently getting back into the hobby, research, I drilled my 120 w 2 returns, gonna do the sump route! Making a change water station, iv moved and now I have a mudroom in back of house, tank will be in middle room! Which brings the question of the python, I was going to purchase the pieces and put a different hose cause the one comes w it seems just too flimsy iv researched and found that I could use an rv potable water hose cause it's made for human consumption, then ill find a retractable hose housing so w that I'd like to hear what this community tips I could learn from thanks

The python hose is high quality, soft and pliable. I am not sure what gives you the impression that it is low quality?

I agree, I've had two or three Python systems over the years, and I didn't have any problems with the hose.

I have been using the Python hose for the past 15 years. I just bought another hose back in Oct for another tank and the quality is the same.

I'm sorry I wasn't implying that what I mean is RESEARCH!! and im getting back in hobby and my python needs to be replaced and I want to put it on a reel cause my tank will be on other side of house just got done bldg a mix stand now I must dry fit plumbing pretty proud of myself cause im getting my patience back and res I living bad habits for one no more sloppy buckets and such!! I found that an RV water heater hose can be a good addition havnt nade my mind up! But when I post a question I wanna learn so I'll take all you fine reefer and figure out which way I wanna go, like for instance I know this time no predatory tank it limits your capabilities Thank You
