I have a GBTA for 2 weeks in a 125 gal tank that has 2 6' Actinics and 2 6' Actinic white VHO bulbs. I put it in the bottom of the tank when I got it and it had moved to the top of the L.R. by the next day where it has stayed since. It was 5" across.Yesterday I came home from work and couldn'd find any trace of it. I moved some of the L.R. and found it. It is now about 1-1.5" across hidden in a crevice.
During the day he had switched out the 2 Actinic Whites for 2 AquaSuns as the bulbs were at least 1 year old .
He didn't notice at the time if the GBTA was on top when he did it.
Is it unusual for the anemone to shrink like that?

probably just expelling waste, they will do this from time to time.

That's exactly what I was going to post....My two BTAs both did this within a day of each other. Came down to the reef and they looked like they had been stung or chopped up in a PH. Then I saw this long stringy thing coming out of the mouth, and figured they were just pooping!

One of them actually did this two days in a row.
