Thanks. Where are you at?

I never thought I would get into softies but I really like it. Picked up one from Reef Raft and another from a club member this weekend to add to the collection. Here are some current shots of the shrooms

This one from Reef Raft has some bounce bubbles forming.

My favorite one came from my friend Randy!

Also I’m really digging this alveopora. It’s got green petals with light blue and pink in the centers.

Beautiful!

looks good id say the light is over kill tho, the xr15 is what id do even for a sps dom tank
I dont know man, the coverage on the 15 with the standard mounting arm height looses a bit on the edges of the tank. The 30 gives a really nice and even spread on a small tank like this. If the 15 was mounted 8-10 inches higher it would be good to go. I JUST pulled a 15 of my 20 and put a T5 rig back on it because of this.

Dosing kalk at all?
Yes, I'll get a pic of the sump up a lil later. I did a lil cheating there but kalk is what I use to suplement Cal and Alk.

You are right but it was also the right decision for me. I'll explain... The decision to set up this tank was never really planned out. My focus has always been my 250g but unforseen delays were plaguing that build. Over the years I have collected a lot of equipment from various club raffles. When it came time to select a light, I had 2 choices on hand. A XR30 pro and a AI Prime. All my friends told me the XR30 was overkill but I chose it because I could and it would be cheaper than buying something else. In the end, since the big tank will also be lit by Radions, I am able to experiment with this tank. My hope is that I will have it down when it comes time to stock the 250g. Despite that, if you told me I could have absolutely any light I wanted for this tank. I would always choose the XR30 Pro because it's better to have that excess power and not need it, than to need it and not have it!

Actually, I had this one before those 6 arrived. I plan to keep the tank but many of the corals my end up in the 250g. Probably going to use it as a pseudo quarantine tank for incoming corals.

Here is a pic of the sump. On the right hand side is about 2.5g of top off water. Then we have a Ranco controller handling the heat, 75w Jager heater and a Tunze Kalk reactor fed by a Tunze Osmolator.

Then my secret formula! A lil dish full of various sponges. It was added before any other livestock was introduced.

The Ranco controller and Radion power supply are mounted under the cabinet. Since there isn’t much room in the tank. I needed to mount it where it was still accessible yet out of view.

Yeah, you definitely have a couple shrooms I'd like too. Make those things split !

Good to hear Rakie! I got you down for acans and mushrooms! You know you got lots of corals that I would want! [emoji3]

For flow I chose to go with the Tunze 6040. I chose this since it has a very similar form factor to the Tunze Stream 3 which I plan to use on the 250g. I really wanted to play with hiding it behind the rocks.

When I added some SPS, I upped the flow by adding a Tunze 6025.i had a 6095 but just way to much flow. I may later replace it with a 2nd 6040.
