Greg never have heard about this food grade silicon technique you are referring to. Can you go into a bit of detail when you hit it up? As in what you use and how you go about it.

Thx!

He, I assume, is referring to using the silicone to spray or rub onto the rubber/plastic o rings. Keeps them from getting brittle.

I use silicone spray from HD on my pool filter. it has a giant rubber o ring that seems the unit. It is a Hayward DE filter.

What are you doing to control humidity in the room? What modifications are required in the home?

hey greg,
So i ordered a new tank and decided to go with regular clear glass vs starphire. One factor was because i read your response to an old thread about how starphire glass isnt going to matter once its full of corals and fish. Just wondering if you went regular or starphire with this tank.

It's plumbed, and has been wet... I was there and part of the process.
I don't think I am talking out of school here when I say that the RODI is up and running, there are containers filling and it should be VERY soon...

Hello Greg, I was lucky enough to meet you, as well as Abishek, at the Chicago RAP last fall. You were very kind and talked for a bit with us. Thank you for that and all that you do for the hobby. New tank is looking great and I am very jealous of that sump. Especially knowing their current status and that I will now never likely get one. Best of luck with the start up and cycle.
