Hello @Jay Hemdal, today I noticed my gem tang with the fins bad, he is now in qt tank copper power at 2.25 ppm + metroplex.

Today I did the first ciprofloxacin 250 mg per gallon, with 0.5 ml per gallon of methylene blue 2 hrs bath and them back to the qt tank.

Is this treatment ok?

Or should I treat the qt tank with furan or kanaplex with the other fish that are in qt?

What other fish are in with this tang? That looks like severe aggression, followed by a secondary bacterial infection. Kanaplex or Neoplex would be my go-to antibiotics, but only if the aggression issue is resolved.

A cleanner wrasse, neon goby, springer damsel, orange back fary wrasse and exquisite fary wrase 60 gal tank.

Also I have other 40 gal tank with copper power at 2.25 ppm + metroplex with sohal tang, desjardini, bimac anthia and engeneerngoby. Should I change it to this tank?

Regarding kanaplex should I dose in the same qt tank with copper and metroplex?

Well, none of those are likely culprits. Fin rot, with no in initial injury just doesn't happen though.....

Regarding kanaplex should I dose in the same qt tank with copper and metroplex and change water every 48 hrs?

Is kanaplex better than ciprofloxacin??

Choice of an antibiotic is always a guess unless a sensitivity study is done. I usually use Neoplex or kanaplex.

Okok, I will attach a video, he is doing this for a couple of hours, I don’t know if is lack of oxygen, but the tank have a 100 gallon air pump, I think that is enough for the tank.

I think the aeration is o.k., but the badge is showing some ammonia. The tang is having difficulty swimming - this is really an odd case...
