General acan care

So yesteday I acquired my first acan colony. I am wondering where these should be placed in the tank. My guess is either middle or high but maybe Sandbed? Also do these spread out or up? Do they cover rocks if they are placed on them? Do I target feed? Thanks guys and I will get a pic up soon!

I have about a dozen acans.IME they like medium lighting and medium flow.I do target feed them once or twice a week with mysis or other small meaty foods.they do spread out not up.you can place them in the sand but I prefer to place them on the rockwork.

I would start them low, and slowly work up to the place where you want them.

IME acans show better coloration when under low light, maybe placed on a shaded area...

Hey guys I've got some acans just given to me and they're in real bad shape - see pictures
There's still quite a lot of colour there. But a care guide would be awesome!
