No, about mine about not being able to find one. I found several. They were all completely over priced for what they were.

Reefll has some too but basically stopped selling 90% of their leds and arrays ;Shifty

Okay so seeming LedSupply uses Semi's I guess the only option would be to buy a blank star and reflow some Semi's in ;Facepalm

I picked up a used ocean revive light that has some of the leds out. Thought that I would just do a recolor while I was at it. What colors would you replace and with what? below is the stock colors. I believe they are bridgelux leds.
thanks

I’d drop more of the whites for RB or violets, depending what you can get.

I would definitely drop the 10k and 12k whites with 3k-5k whites and royal blue, replace the green and red with whatever else. Maybe take a few blues out on the blue channel and pop a few violets in space.

@jjoos99 I'd change it to something like:

Channel 1
470 4
420 4 (moved from ch 2)
395 2
450 16

Channel 2
420 2
450 10
520 2
Warm White 2
10kx4
12kx4

so shopping list for diodes would be 10x450 2xWarm White 2x395nm

How well do you guys think a 12" Makers Slim sink with 2x NanoBox 11up's with 3 3up's in the middle 11ups towards the ends of the sink would be enough for a IM peninsula 14 ? :

(#1 channel 5x nw,6x ww,2x cyan,2x mints,4x violets)
(#2 channel 14x royal blue,4x true blue,6x violets)

way more light than I run over my simlar sized cube. (I have reasonable growth with a single 8led acrostar running at 700ma) so should be more than fine. honestly wouldn't worry about the 3 3ups.

look into this heatsink https://www.stevesleds.com/HD-Heatsink_p_334.html wouldn't need fans, and its cheaper. a 12in one would be perfect I think. if you want a little more royal blue just add in a couple luxeon Ms (cheaper than 3ups)

Well I already have the 3ups and the 11up arrays won't fit inside those sinks. The plan would be full blown sps tank, with those leds I should have evenly spread spectrum and par.

keep in mind with that much on that light you will need a fan. its the thing I don't care for on the makers slim, don't do a good job disapaiting heat. look into the 12in rapidled heatsink it is a little nicer looking with a fan on it.

Agree on the slim: not enough surface area to cool by convection alone, and it’s not designed for a top mounted fan. You could use a blower on the interior, but again are bitten by surface area.

I guess I could run 2x Makers Basic 2up's with 700mah LDD's,and 2 smaller 48v power supplies and I will have 4 channels or control.

CH1- 8 Royals,4x True Blue's
CH2- 5 NW,6 WW,2Cyan,2 Mints
CH3- 8 Violets (400-430)
CH4- 3 3up's (6x RB,2 WW,1 NW)

the fans from beamswork aquarium lights are the ticket I found. they slide into the channels on top of the light. run on as little as 5v and are quiet at that voltage, above 7v they are noisy though. here is one on my nano.

the makers 2up aren't the best bang for buck imo. look at stevesled or other 5up boards, cheaper and I think in a better formfactor. or heck don't nessesarily need the boards, for most of my lights I've just gotten the ldd-ds or ldd-h with wires and superglued the ldds to the heatsink in a neat row and wired them up. prolly cools them better too.

I feel like it would be though, although they will both be relatively close in price. If I choose pwm I would need the:

Storm or Hurricane ($75 with the case)
4up Coralux Board ($15)
4x LDD'S ($25ISH).
PSU TBD

Makers 2up ($40 for 2)
4x LDD's ($25ISH)
2 MW LRS 48v/100w PSU's $33 or 1 BIG PSU.

I guess the rest comes down to personal preference really

I agree about the makers slims.

I also think the point in a "store bought" solution is to look nice but they just don't once you put a fan on them.

At least not in my opinion.
