So I am going to give this a go again. Any help and advice would be great since last time was a disaster.

Frag tank info:
23 gallon 24X18X12
HOB filter running carbon
2 Koralias oposite facing
2 aqueon heaters
Nova Extreem SLR 4 bulb 96 watt T5 (1 ATI coral plus, 1 ATI Blue Plus, 1 geissman actinic plus and 1 geissman aquablue plus)
2 BRS dosing pumps
Tunze 9004 skimmer
ATO float valve
5-10 lbs live rock

First Question:
I am planning on building a rack out of egg crate. Do I need it staggered to successfully grow SPS? Rack will be about 11" down. I also have 2 clear magnetic frag racks that can hold about 40 frags, which I could put 6" down to grow SPS.

Any other thoughts or frag tank tips would be great!

Any thoughts on fish. Non jumpers that eat algae and pests?

Was thinking yellow coris wrasse for pests, but no top on this one and will likely jump, also no sand.

Ive always had trouble with lawnmower blennies, not sure why but the 2 Ive had have died within a couple weeks.

Thanks,
Paul

My frag tank is pretty much the same thing except mine is 24x24x12. I've been wracking my brain trying to figure out what fish to add and I can't think of anything ether. Maybe some Mollies... IDK

Yeah if you add freshwater Mollies they can change to saltwater. They eat algae too. I've done it before but you have to have super docile fish... I added them and within minutes my Arc Eye Hawk killed them...

Picked up a couple banggai cardinals, but one of them died. I didn't think I needed to wait to long since I am using water from my main system and 1/4 rock from my system plus some new macro rock. Tank has been up for 2 weeks, was this a fluke or did I put fish in too soon? Any thoughts on when I should be able to add lots of sps frags. My tank is mostly sps and its growing like crazy... I plan on making 40+ sps frags that will have time to heal before spring.
