I’m chomping at the bit waiting for the tank! I have a pretty good idea on how I want everything now aside from the fuge and control board. I’m trying to occupy my mind with research and reading up on here. I’m told the tank should ship next week. :)

I have been procrastinating on a control board myself. I have been thinking of making some sort of 3d printed inserts/flanges for the pump controllers to look nicer sticking out of the control board but I really should get to making the enclosure before worrying too much about that.

I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with for yours!

Well I was working late on the computer last night and I had another idea come to me. I’m now considering doing another cube on the other side of the tank. In an exact reversal cabinet that I already have to add some balance. Something like the pitiful photo edit below. So I would run my manifold and the 2 smaller cubes on the vector s2 and get a vector m2 for the main return. I’ll put the S2 in the skimmer chamber with a baffle and sponge between them. Then I’ll have the two small cubes return back to the main sump return. I one will be a fuge and the other will start life as a Zoa tank and probably become a frag tank later. It really has me thinking. With both cubes it will be around an added 15 gallons to the complete system. Complete system would be 120+.

Thanks!
It seems the longer my tank takes to get here the more changes and additions I make. Lol

That said always remember to take added water into account when not enlarging your sump. If the pumps turn off my overflow water from the DT and the small cubes need to be under the total sump capacity. Hmm Might have to put a few more check valves in.

Well the Apex EL needed too much expansion for how many changes I have made so I decided to just get the Apex.... funny how the colors match my car. Lol! my trident is in as well.
I’ll be selling the brand new Apex EL for a Deal here soon.

Really happy with Avast Marine Sea Bones CaRx so far! Great build quality and most importantly it fits the spot I have designated for it! Cant wait to get the tank running strong and getting it running.

Heaters fit with 1/2” on both sides. Definitely cutting it close with a glass heater. I’ll probably get a titanium one when I replace after a year.
