Frag/angler tank has been drilled. Both are now ready for overflow boxes. Some may ask why I’m using overflow boxes instead of just pipe screens. The big reason is I’m putting cut filter sponges to trap large particles and loose macro algae since they will be draining directly into the return chamber of the sump. I want the pods to go to the main tank but I’ll try and avoid any macro from getting there. Since there will be potential of these clogging up I’m installing a level sensor in the over flow boxes that will stop the feed pump to the small cube tanks and the manifold if it gets too high. This will all be hidden in the overflow boxes as not to distract from the look of the tanks. You can see in the pictures that there will be plenty of room inside the overflow boxes to house all this. I’m also leaving enough room between the overflow and the side so I can get get a scrubber in between for glass cleaning.

Ok now after seeing it visually instead of just on paper I’m thinking I may just cut a side of the overflow box off and make them corner boxes. My plans change constantly when building. ;Hilarious

so I cut the overflow boxes today and test fit on the fuge. Looks good to me! Plenty of room for the float switch and the large cut sponge filter.

Also got the handles mounted to the other cabinet. I have decided that the Avast CaRx setup will be on the right side of the tank now. I made the shelf cutout to just fit the Co2 bottle so I can utilize the space in the cabinet for storage. The regulator is easily readable with just a glance. Put child magnet locks on the other cabinet doors as well.

Ok right Cube dry plumbed. I will be adding 2 unions in. 1 for drain and the other return. I’ll be using the right cube for the fuge since it’s proximity to the DT return pump makes its drain very short. Next I will have the left cube drain back into the maim sump drain since it’s going to be a angler/frag tank.

Got all the lines measured and cut then the holes are drilled for the CaRx. I also wired the 2 Kessil lights to the controller. Slowly trying to get all the electrical cables set up so I can get an idea of how I will run the wire tracks to hide everything.

So the 3/4slip to 1/2npt adapter is the only part I can’t seem to find in schedule 80. It’s white and since it will be submerged I won’t paint it but it does make my OCD tingle a bit. I’m hoping it will cover with Coralline fast enough so it doesn’t drive me completely nuts. ;Hilarious
At least the one I’m using off of my manifold going to the media reactor I can paint and it won’t bother me.

Ok well this is exactly why we dry fit before gluing plumbing..... I swapped the small tanks and in turn completely reversed my plumbing. Then I plumbed my Fuge in reverse. This is the proper plumbing for the fuge.
finalized the plumbing for the Manifold pump as well. I have the intake aimed as far from the skimmer as possible. I’m not really comfortable with the proximity of the pump wire to the heaters.
