I just picked a Kole Tang from my LFS a few days ago which they only had the tang in there tank for 2 days. I have tried every kind of food and this fish wont even go near it. 3 days now with no eating. Anyone have any pointers tricks???

TIA

My kole tang did this as well. Just grazed the rock for a week or two, he eventually came around and ended up becoming a beast during feeding time. Just be patient, and keep trying. Also, always ask your lfs to feed the fish in front of you, always best to start with a healthy, already eating fish.

you could try putting garlic extract on your nori, I feed my tangs the brown type seaweed.

I agree with picking a healthy fish, however I advise against having it eat prior to taking it home... a stressed fish with a full stomach is no good. :)

+1 on healthy fish..

BUT I use a single salmon Egg to stimulate fish to eat.. Has worked multiple times. They love them.

I use the seaweed for mine, and do not stress him if not necessary, so try not to do any WC's if not necessary. IMO
