Well, i'm not sure, I read its pretty hard to manage corals since everything in a saltwater tank is alive, is there some tips to manage the corals?
You have to let the tank mature. This was starting with dry rock and live sand. Start with the easy coral after the tank has been running for awhile and you have gone through the worst of the uglies and you have a good clean up crew, you get easy soft coral. Zoa's, and maybe a leather. These don't require anything other than water changes. Once you can keep these happy , then go with something like a birdsnest. Water changes and just feeding the fish will take care of everything. Start watching videos on keeping lps coral and what it takes. I would start with euphyllia coral hammers to start. You can have a great reef with just these coral. For me, it was when Coraline Algae started to grow was when everything took off. It would take way too long to go through everything. Start watching lots of videos. I hope you have a great tank someday

Started at 8am, finished at 6pm. This tank was resealed, paid 100.00 for tank, stand, skimmer and a bunch of pukani Rock. I used 2/4's to reinforce the stand. Will have water tomorrow.

Plumbing all checked out good, one union needed a small turn and that was it. Now waiting for water to clear. I have 20 pounds of live sand and rock coming from Tampa Bay Salt Water in the morning for the sump refugium. The closed loop system is working great, I was hoping not to have any power heads in the tank, I not sure if there is enough flow. We will see. IMG_20230813_155056095.jpg

I want to give a big shout out to Tampa Bay Salt Water for the live rock and sand. So far 3 hermits, 3 snails and a butt load of pods. All of the macro algae given to me by Tampa Bay. I took the time to answer their email asking me what I was using the rock and sand for. They came through in a big way.

So copperband is in his new home and looking happy. The two clowns and the copperband are best buddies and follow each other all of the time. Every clown I've ever owned just stays in one area except at feeding. These guys are all over the tank.

Tank update. Tampa Bay Salt Water rocks and sand have made a huge difference. Three month update. I have yet needed to do any cleaning algae from the rocks in the display. The live rock went to the sump, live sand and the dry rock went to the main tank

So, it was a tuff but rewarding Year for the reef. Had a tank crash with aiptasia, lost a lot of coral. I learned my lesson and there's no room for " I will get to it". The pictures above shows all of the work done this year. I'm very happy with how the year ended. Happy Reefing!
