Getting rid of aptasia

Ok guys I need this big aptasia plus about 10 more babies gone. How can I do this? Is superglue my best bet?

Superglue will do just fine

Chisel, Dremel or drill them off the rock. If that's possible. If not use kalkwasser and squirt it in their mouths

Interesting. There is definitely correlation between the supplier of peppermint shrimp and whether or not they work. Liveaquaria= don't work. sorry la I still support you though!

I've found that to be the case as well. I had bought peppermints from a couple of local places and one online place before with no luck. This time, I had tried everything pretty much and was at the point of tearing down the tank, and I decided to order from Unique Corals (whom I trust A LOT), and their shrimp did the job. :)

I also bought 10 of them (my tank is a 180) as a way to boost my odds. Ha!

I tried all sorts of things to get rid of aphasia and the only thing that worked was my lovely Copperband butterfly fish. They were all gone in a week and have never been seem since.

I've been using Aptasia-X with good results. Works for what you see and can reach. Burghia probably a more complete solution.

Since the rock is out in the water can you just scrub/remove the Aptasia with brush and rinse it with ro/di or distilled?

Vinegar I know removes from powerheads and anything else that has a smooth surface like a sump or overflow. I think the only way would be 2 let it dry, I would never scrub these with a brush due to toxins that could be released, they're related to anemones. The superglue method takes a minute tops, I do several at a time then dip the rock to get the glue 2 set.

The 2 best methods without adding anything is heat or superglue, with superglue being the quickest and easiest way. I'm setting my 10g up to play with the few left, even though @twilliard already has.
