yeah. the wish shopping app is awesome. ive ordered a dozen things off of it. take upwards of a month to get them. everything is made in a sweat shop but hey, its cheap and provides jobs in some poor town that runs sweat shops.

yeah, but 1 American dollar is 66RS (indian currency) and the cost of living there is cheap. when you look at the cost of living index 100 would be equal to the cost of living in new York city. in general india scores a 6 for rent meaning its 94% cheaper. this number takes into account local currency in each country.

so im not one of those people who look down at sweat shops. they provide much needed jobs in developing areas, and while they pay1 dollar an hour USD, they actually make somewhat decent money for their cost of living and the current exchange rate.

Did you look at that thread? He said he was sitting in his room, and all of a sudden, there was a rushing water sound. 300 gallons of water, nothing he could do to stop it. At least he was there to save the fish, and maybe some of the coral.

yeah I saw it. busting a seam can happen on any tank. but the better the tank the less likely it would be.

It can happen on acrylic tanks as well. Well, jbj has those all in one bent glass tanks, but they only go up to 45 gallons. Idk.

yeah it can happen in acrylic tanks too, but its easier to prevent it as well. a proper seal on acrylic is easy to see. if theres no bubbles, its a pretty good seal. thicker acrylic further prevents blowouts. but the biggest issue with acrylic is it flexes and when acrylic fails it doesn't tend to split the seam it tends to explode out of a panel. normally back panel where there is equipment or plumbing hanging off of.

I also know I don't clove or star polyps, they will cover a tank.

not as fast as you might think. ive had both. I liked GSP. it looked awesome had to trim every couple weeks but it didn't take but a minute to cut it back with a pair of scissors.

lol start with something cheap. I know it sounds counter productive not to just go all out at the start but if you start with a cheaper tank and setup youll have time to learn everything first hand without destroying expensive equipment or ruining high end tanks and such.

I want a mixed coral tank, probably just zoas, scolys, acans, some lps, and later on sps.

you'd be fine. could even cover your back wall with GSP. just keep the rocks about 3 inches away from all edges and keep a razor blade handy. then you would have something like this, plus the gsp will help filter your water really well.

lol start with something cheap. I know it sounds counter productive not to just go all out at the start but if you start with a cheaper tank and setup youll have time to learn everything first hand without destroying expensive equipment or ruining high end tanks and such.

The only way I'll start is if I get the plant job I want and went to school for. Then I'll get a place, and pretty buy any tank I want. But I will probably only rent anyway. I see innovative marine all in one. I think they have a 25 gallon and 50 gallon. I might get one of those. But the the truvu dream is to get an 180 gallon, then I would all kind of options. But am these are a future dream basis.
On the 180 I will want a Hamilton Cebu sun metal halide fixture, and fresh live rock, which are both costly.
Currently I have my mind fixated on that tool is come back to new orleans on January 31. I'll probably have to buy from a scalper on ebay again cause the show always sell out so fast.

I have no experience with those so I cannot say. but I bet they grow slow enough to maintain so long as you pay attention.
