I have this greens algae, plucks off easy, doesn’t like direct peroxide. Purple urchin slowly eats it. I have GFO running
0.17 nitrate 0.002 nitrites 0.01 phosphates calcium 400 magnesium 1380 alkalinity 8.2 pH 8.1 and salinity 33 ppt

I want to get rid of it as it’s outcompeting my coral frags.

Is this GHA or Bryopsis ?

Bryopsis has a frond shape. What you have is a branching filamentous algae with cells not siphonous that seem to be wider than the typical ugly hair algae. The stuff you have is a rather pretty green macro algae.

Sadly it’s out competing the corals so ive been trying to figure how to limit it. Any thoughts ? Weekly cleaning doesn’t keep up, urchin likes it, but others fish and CUC don’t care for it

Also just an update, i did H202 bath just 20 ml per liter for 5 minutes according to the chart - Xenia melt away so i would advise not doing them in this. Other corals did quite well.
