Hi,

Been tackling a green hair algae problem post nutrient spike from Cyno treatment for past couple months.
I have reduced nitrates and phosphates - now unable to get nitrates above 0, I'm guessing the alage is consuming it.
Looking for some advice, its not heaps, but enough to annoy the corals. Have dosed Continuum Aquatics Clean Equation M and been doing manual removal, some peroxide spot treatments around corals where algae is effecting them.

200gal,
reef matt 500,
red sea skimmer 900,
red sea wave maker 45w x2
57w twist uv,
6 stage rodi,
kh keeper,
4x xr30 blues @ 350 par top of rocks, 150-200 on sand.

parameters:
dkh 8,
ph 8.15
ca 420
mg 1260
nitrate 0
phosphate 0.08

dosing ati essentials pro to maintain alk of 8.0
dosing phytoplankton daily.

stocked:
1x rabbit fish,
6x cardinals,
2x clowns

4x sand sifting star's
3x strombus snail,
2x Trochus snail
10x turbo snail,
16x small hermits.

Feeding 1x frozen cube of Mysis or brine shrimp per day.

I'm after some advice on how to beat this algae.

I'll keep that in mind, it seems quite difficult and expensive to get in Australia.

You could look into hydrogen peroxide 3% dosing rather than spot treated. 1ml per 10gal

when i was having to deal with a GHA issue, i ended up continually removing rock, scrubbing it off, and putting it back. i also started using a refugium to grow algae where i wanted it to grow, rather than where it wanted to grow.
eventually, it just went away
