Looking to keep my AlK more stable as my tank matures, mostly SPS.
Does the Director really do well at keeping Alk stable ?
How hard is it to set up? I have watched and read everything I can find and just want some more real world opinoins as to this.
My plan is the Kh Director SA then as my aquarium funds rebuild then P4 controller. Or is this over kill I only have a RedSea Reefer 250 but atm I have 30+ named SPS frags all doing well and growing. I dose Tropic Marin All-for-Reef and for the last 6 months via a KmorX1 pump. Alk Cla and Mag are all in line. But I am constantly dousing a little more a little less each day pending my Alk test witch I do 2 times a day. Same time in the morning before work and when I get home.

Yes the director can keep your alk stable and can adjust dosing based on read values with a 4 head stand alone unit.

It is about as difficult as any other dosing pump is to set up. Measuring tube lengths is an annoyance, but not bad.

The controller / equipment is worth as much to you as you put value on your time and livestock. Anyone else's opinion doesn't really matter if you are comfortable with what equipment you're using, even if seemingly "overkill" at the end of the day.

The value of the SA should be getting a decent bump soon with the next software update, as stand-alone logging and graphing is being rolled out.

Waste sample volume can become an issue if it's not being accounted for, depending on the tank.
