AquaMedic was near me in CO when they still had a US distributor - there are AB fixtures all over my area. I have no idea how the testing ending up like it did with ATI coming out on top by such a wide margin. ATI has great fixtures. So did AB and also Giesemann. At the time, I did not have my Apogee 510 yet, but I had access to a LiCor and all three put out within 1% of each other for output when we tested them.
I think that in the end, somebody just like ATI better and it snowballed in internet lore. I don't use T5 that much, so I never really cared to argue much about it.
