Gig addition

It could also be just the mere presence of the mertensii. The fact that the clownfish are moving back and forth probably compounds the issue.

I've had issues with multiple gigs in the same tank. It took some mixing and matching before I got to a place where they all got along albeit in separate tanks (three in one, two in the other).

Yeah I questioned whether these two could inhabit the same system without issues. The mertensii has gotten so big, so fast I don’t doubt that the gig can sense its presence nearby. However the gig is looking better past few days now. Just going to monitor it, and if it comes down to it the mertens will be moved to another tank. Gig will have to be priority in this situation, unfortunately

It’s funny how clowns if given the choice almost always choose Gigantea. Even with a massive Mertens nem this one still wants to sleep in the gig that’s not much bigger than her.

Just feed your Gigantea every few days and it will be large in no time.
It's still newish to my system. It catches frozen food during feedings but I'm cautious to start feeding just yet. Maybe another month or so i'll start target feeding it some mysis.
