What conditions do you have your Gila Monster at? I have it in the middle next to a Bonzai and it looks kind of pale but encrusting.

whats the stuff around it? just curious sorry cant help much with your op but acros high flow and light always seem to work
 
Some pest soft coral that came in on a rock. they are like xanias the SPS push them back as they encrust.
