GK - 29 Gallon Build Thread

Nitrates are down to 30 PPM. I added a single clown fish as my nano tank broke and he needed a home.

Skinner is still not functioning correctly. I'm hoping the addition of live stock will fix this.

Lastly- how often are people having to recalibrate their apex salinity probe? It's seems that mine needs calibrated yet again.

Well everyone is happy except my yellow watchman goby. He may be happy but I haven't seen him in 7 days so I can't tell. He is either hiding really well or he died and my pistol took his body into the cave to eat it. Guess time will tell.

Also built a 2 inch stand for my bubble magus a5 and it now it is working. So it's in 6 inches of water instead of the advertised 8.

I Pretty much hatted how my electronic mount turned out. So I bought some acrylic and redid it.

I have 3 main LFS in Orlando. Every single one of them is out of flame angels. I guess I'll wait to get that later this summer. In addition to these there are 3 sexy shrimp hanging out in there.

I am pretty sure my yellow watchman became lunch because I haven't seen him in 2 weeks.

Thanks. It's crazy because it had to be the pistol that ate him. Wonder if he died first or if the pistol attacked him.

My starfish also died. I think it's because my PH/Alk got too low. Got the Red Sea dosing kit to keep those in balance.

Haven’t updated in a while so here goes.

Couple of shots from the front.

custom built ATO res. Plywood with pond armor inside, holds about 5 gallons.

left side of the tank. Using amazon fire 7 as apex display.

right side is a storage locker and the apex control.

waveline dc pump failed super quick so I switched to eco tech.

two mangroves thriving. Built a rain system so they get hit with RO twice a day.

neptune apex afs with 3D printed funnel to get it into tank and not in the lights.

added three puck lights that come on when hood is opened. This helps with maintenance.
