What would you guys recommend using to paint the back of a tank. Hoping the weather holds up to try to drill mine this weekend and figure it would be easier to paint first.

I used basic rustoleum flat black. Nothing special about it.

Just do very light coats and let it dry in between. If you try and go fast it will run on you and then you'll be scraping and starting over.

Take your time!!!

Just looking to do it once. Don't want to have to try to fix flaking or running if it gets wet

Use craftstore acrylic paint. It is easy to apply, easier than others to remove and can be touched up easily if scratched in a move. I will not use anything else after going cheepo acrylic route. I just use a foam roller to apply usually 3 coats till no longer transparent.

The best spray ever is plastidip. It sprays black and is like rubber and peels off whenever you want. You can get it at lowes or Home Depot

I was just gonna mention plastidip.. Get it good and thick and you can peel it off whenever you're tired of it..
