I used a few jack posts in my basement to ensure weight isn’t an issue.
That's a possibility for sure as we have a full walkout basement. So is building an actual wall. The bigger problem. Is a wall. The house is very "open concept" so an open wall isn't available. If I went to a tank like that, it would be for puffers, butterflies and tangs. I thought in the wall behind the couch, half in living room and half in the office, but that's one of 2 load bearing walls for the vaulted ceilings so that's out. Basement isn't an option as were never down stairs other than a random game of pool on occasion, and a major reason I shut down my 220 and sold it off.

I am so glad I started this thread. Hearing all of the positive improvements that have occued at glasscages within the last year makes me confident that I will be getting my tank from them when I'm ready.

movers hefted my new glass cages tankInto my second floor apartment yesterday. First time I’ve seen it out of the crate and in the light of day. The edges of the low iron glass are turquoise (beautiful) and the polish from there brand new machine is flawless. Aside from the stress of having my new pride and joy moved buying this tank has been a great experience. Thank you Joe and company.
