Gluing a Favia

Is it OK to glue a favia this way? I applied a line of glue to the edge of a favia to it will stick to a rock. Does this prevent it from growing new skeleton and growing outwards?

Looks good to me! The favia will grow down the side.

When securing corals like this I like to fill in any gaps with some epoxy. This makes the transition from one rock to another much easier.
