Hi everyone, so I made the mistake (if it is) of gluing my trachy to a frag plug and placing it in the sand. It is quite small so I felt the small size would give it issues with sand irritating the flesh. I also have a leopard wrasse so he would likely cover it. I glued it to the plug so that I can place it in the sand while being slightly raised. I couldn't find much online but what I did was conflicting as one source says you can kill it since it will damage its "foot" and the other says theres no issue. Any one have any experience with this? If I made a mistake by doing that do I remove it from the plug or is the damage done and I should just hope it survives?

Thanks in advance.

I just lay my trachy on the sand, its been happy there for 2 years. I've never heard of a trachy being glued, I hope it will be ok.

If you can post a picture I'm sure folks will have suggestions for you.

thanks for the input. Ya i knew not to really place it on the rocks and just didn't see any way this would be harmful to be honest. Ill put a picture here. I honestly am hopeful since I only placed it in the tank about 2 hours ago and it seems to be fully open I think

That doesn't look bad. There isn't any internal skeleton visible. You will know if it's unhappy because it will stay shrunken up. It's a beautiful specimen though.
