Kimbrel walked the bases loaded, hit a guy, walked in another guy. I’m not sure of the order. No extra points for me. Melt down. Over 30 pitches. Ugh.details ,need details :(

We’ve all got our own opinions on some things facing the nation. ;) Baseball is huge to me. I don’t know if it will last. I think you should watch the A’s. They almost always put up a good team with little resources to accomplish that level of play. They’re one of my favorite teams in baseball. A few minutes at the beginning of the game shouldn’t ruin the next several hours of commercials and a bit of game time you’ll get.;)Tapped out of sports this year - best of luck to you fans that are sticking around.
I watched sports to escape reality for a few hours. Instead they made it political. Someone did anyway so I'm out. Besides 300 million + contracts for one person was the end for me. A's and Raider fan since '71. Oh well.
Best of luck to the Cubs!
Edit: In case you wonder why post then is because I've not followed this year until I canceled MLB online. Then saw your post and said oh - I guess they are doing partial season. Yeah - I'm really out of the loop and keeping to myself :)
This Astros/Kelly thing is wild. I used to be old school, but I don’t like that stuff anymore. That 96mph FB behind the head is dangerous. Still can’t help but notice the irony when Kelly gets an 8 game suspension and not a single Astro was suspended after it was proven they cheated frequently in the regular season and playoffs to get a ring in 2017.
I’m with ya on this. Manfred should have brought down the hammer on the Astros. Multiple players should have been suspended for at least a year. That would have been soft in my opinion, but I’m also not much for a lifetime ban.See, and herein lies some more of my issues. The whole team cheated or knew about it but looked the other way. Did it actually provide an unfair advantage? I do not know. I treat it similar to Bonds, McGwire, and even Pete Rose. All cheated yet only one gets banned from the sport. Even testified and called before the U.S. Congress (although that is another matter).
So much inconsistency. Me personally I would have suspended the whole team for a year and make them field triple A players or sit out. Want to prevent bad behaviour you need to set an example.

Haha! I’m prone to going on some rants at the beginning of the season. I’ve done it year after year on r2r and RC. I’m fully aware that sometimes I’m my biggest fan. Go Cubs! :) ;)This has got to be the longest thread by pretty much one person. It's game time.
For sure. Lots of athletes sacrificing their integrity to get an edge on the competition. I’m glad to hear your boys are getting to enjoy baseball for the time being. It’s fun and it brings some normalcy to our current situation.No. I mean pretty much human nature to try and see how far you can bend the rules to win. People doing blood transfusions for bike races and others building slightly smaller cars to win nascar races - lol.
Hmm..maybe I just go catch a game, huh? Anyway my two boys are glad it started. One a Pirates fan the other Brewers.
