So the clam doesn't seem to care about the sand... But when i baste the sand he doesn't like it and closes up. 2 days already, it does open back up again as normal next day and jerky goes back at it all day long on everything.
The Gobie has plenty of homes, he has dug under a lot of my rock work for homes.
they make fish traps. I made one from one of those clear gravel washer tubes. 1) take hose off 2) Put some thawed brine shrimp near the end where the hose was attached 3) Once in, put hand over opening and with ALOT of luck you'll catch him 4) repeat as often as required
Note) fish is faster than you think! GOOD LUCK: :D
While he is annoying, he is amazing at turning the sand in the entire tank....
Will give it some time and see if the clam can handle the sand.
Last night there wasnt any sand on the clam so I assume he moved it himself
a little late joining the conversation, but i hav ea derasa clam that is a frequent target of my bullet goby.a turkey baster makes it close,so i point a small power head at it from high up.nice gentle flow cleans him right out.
