I am looking for some gobies that have the perching behavior.
I've kept some clown gobies that had this behavior before and they were wonderful.

What gobies exhibit the perching on rock/coral behavior?

I just got a pair of clowns for this tank now that is is being restocked and finally pest free and have plenty of room.

Any other gobies that perch aside from clown gobies?

Trimma gobies, Tiger gobies, masked gobies. I belive many of these small species perch, they might get bullied by your clownish though :( They are 1inch or less when full grown.

Trimma gobies I was aware of. The others not so much. Still nice little fish. Just not very well suited to larger tanks by the sound of it.

They fit the mold, however

My watchman goby

does little else than perch in the center of the tank looking at me. I have a pistol shrimp but either it died or he’s not interested.

You could always consider different types of clown gobies. The green ones are my favorite, but the citrus, black and panda gobies are cool as well.
It's an option. I find them a bit hard to find in decent condition though. I lucked out the first time I got some.

My yellow watchman goby perches all the time! Sometimes, he will perch on the rock, sandbed, or on my toadstool, just wherever he wants to be for the day.

My yellow doesn't do this. I have a scaredy ywg, all he does is roam the sand. Until he sees anybody then he goes into his cave. And hides. Maybe sticks his head out once in a while.
OP: Hawkfish are the main percher types. But you want gobies. What about ones that perch mid water column?? Like firefish or scissor/swallow tail?

I've had firefish before and they are nice.
Other darkish may be worth looking into as well.
