Looks intense, like a burn. Looking at google pictures, some diamond Gobies have the same black spot and some don't so kinda hard to know if something is wrong.

Is the fish looking healthy ?

I have the same diamond goby and this dark area is normal. I thought the same thing when I bought mine.
