So here's my first question, It's more of an opinion poll:

I want to place the tank near a passthrough (cutout of the wall) (don't know what to call it) between the kitchen/living room. I've been wife approved to "not block the hole", but laying it out, I'm not sure if this is feasible. I mocked up the tank, sump and light in 3d and the best I can reasonably do is to have the light show through from the kitchen side.

This makes the stand pretty short (~26"), which should clear the skimmer and leave room to take off the cup probably (lol).

Of course I'd mock this up once I get the actual equipment, but am I being unreasonable with how low this is? It would be a nice height to see from the chair that's next to it.

Plumbing may need to be space age level precision to make everything fit.
